A viral estimate circulating this week says Grand Theft Auto VI could trigger a one-day GTA 6 productivity shock on Thursday 19 November 2026, with young workers most likely to stay home.

The 1.5 million Americans claim remains unverified. Cadena SER reported on 28 July 2025 that the United States could lose around $1 billion (£740 million) that day through absenteeism. It launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
