Saltair products are incredibly popular in the US thanks to their nourishing and indulgently-scented washes, oils and mists, and finally, I've got my hands on them. And as a perfume lover myself, as well as something of a body lotion obsessive, these are the 6 buys I specifically recommend.
When it comes to smelling good, a long-lasting perfume isn't the only thing we can rely on. In fact, there are several other ways to enhance your personal scent, like with an odour and sweat-wicking deodorant, for instance, and one of the best scented body lotions and oils. The latter, especially, is also a great way to bolster the notes of your signature scents and is actually a non-negotiable, everyday step for yours truly (along with wearing deodorant, obviously). In fact, as a bit of body care and perfume buff, I'm always on the lookout for smellies that will take my routine to new, good-smelling heights, and Saltair is one brand I've been hearing a lot of chatter about lately.
And with it having finally made it across the pond to the UK in October, I simply could not pass up a chance to try it. This stuff smells heavenly. Every time I use this body wash, I am not only left with clean, supple skin but also a craving for a sweet treat. Its formula boasts a biodegradable cleansing agent, as well as nourishing and refreshing ingredients like algae, sea salt, mineral-enriched seawater, and vanilla fruit extract. When you slather this over wet skin, it doesn't just immediately wash away, but drenches it in hydration, allowing you to work it in and really feel as though it's cleaning the daily dirt and grime away, whilst also surrounding you in the most deliciously warm scent of salty vanilla. I have quite dry and sensitive skin, but I have found this to be incredibly gentle and hydrating.

If you've been on the hunt for a body oil that will hydrate your skin as well as leave a lingering scent to accompany and elevate your favourite woody and earthy perfumes, this is it. I have the scent Driftwood (though it is also available in Salt Water Vanilla and so on), which layers citrusy notes of bergamot with earthy sage and warm driftwood. It's such a chic and uplifting smell, and one that actually lingers all day long. The oil itself also absorbs into the skin so well - it doesn't leave an excessively sticky residue like some body oils do. It does, however, hydrate your skin with ingredients like kukui, cacay, squalane and karanja oils that leave it so luminous-looking and soft to the touch. I really recommend it for scent layering, or on days when you want to smell good but not too perfumey.

Saltair offers body mists in all their signature scents, and Santal Bloom's iteration in particular is a lovely option with its woody-floral notes. It features creamy sandalwood, rose and jasmine, which can be layered with the rest of the Santal Bloom line or worn alone, much like any of the best Sol de Janeiro scents. It's delicate but lingering and definitely one for powdery perfume fans or those who want to add a creamy, woody layer to their favourite floral fragrances. It's also a great option for travel or for carrying in your handbag for quick, on-the-go spritzes.

There's really something so pleasing to me about having a matching deodorant to your body wash and lotion, and Saltair's line allows you to do just that. I've actually tried both the Salt Water Vanilla and Driftwood iterations of these serum deodorants, but kept finding myself reaching for the former. Apparently, I'm a sucker for vanilla-y body care. It's a more subtle scent than the others, but I found that it still lasted well, and along with its exfoliating blend of lactic acid and PHA, it kept odour at bay all day long. Its formula is also designed to ward off ingrown hairs and discolouration, while niacinamide brightens and boosts the barrier of your underarms. If you have more sensitive skin, though, I recommend not immediately using it every day, but trialling it and rotating it with your other go-to deodorant first.

If you're on the hunt for a thick, beautifully scented cream to apply after a shower or bath, I would definitely consider buying Saltair's Multi-Lipid Body Butter, specifically in the scent Driftwood. The texture itself is so luxurious and really feels as though it's nourishing and hydrating the skin as soon as you slather it on. Despite its richness, though, it absorbs well and doesn't feel greasy. As for the formula, it contains phospholipids, fatty acids and phytosterols, which help to replenish the skin's barrier, as well as sea buckthorn oil and ceramides. My skin feels so soft after using this, and again, like with all of Saltair's products, that Driftwood scent really sticks around. It clings to your clothes, and every time I moved, I was hit with a soft waft of citrusy, woody goodness. Saltair is truly the body care brand for perfume lovers.

While my favourite of Saltair's body washes is Salt Water Vanilla, I can't deny that the Driftwood variation is also gorgeous and a great buy for elevating your shower routine - especially if you prefer earthy scents to gourmand ones. Each wash offers different actives and results; this silky serum-y formula douses your skin with conditioning ingredients like coconut and sunflower Lipids, as well as purifying botanical extracts and hydrating hyaluronic acid. It's a great option for dry skin, especially if you find it often feels tight or stripped after a shower or bath. If you're a fan of shower oils, like me, I really think you'll enjoy the luxurious feel of these serum washes and their comforting scents.
