New Delhi: Doctors have raised concerns over the growing popularity of injectable peptides for weight loss, muscle recovery, anti-ageing and longevity, warning that the success of a few scientifically established peptide medicines should not be confused with the safety or efficacy of experimental compounds being promoted online.
The concerns have come into focus after a proposed "Peptide Party" in Bengaluru was cancelled following regulatory intervention, highlighting a wider trend of people exploring peptide-based therapies outside conventional medical settings.
