A groom who found out his wife-to-be was cheating on him with his best man got his revenge by humiliating them during their wedding speeches – complete with photographs of the pair caught in the act.
Instead of dumping his fiancée, the man of the hour decided to go ahead with the wedding before dropping the bombshell after the ceremony. The humiliation was topped off with the fact that the bride's family had paid for the entire day.
Detailing the story on the Unfiltered Bride podcast, as reported by Wales Online, host Georgie Mitchell said she wasn't meant to tell the story. But, pressed by co-presenter Beth Smith, she laid out every dirty detail.
Georgie said: "So there was a wedding, and they did the wedding, the bride and groom. [They] got married, lovely ceremony and drinks reception - they sat down and had their food.
"Speeches [came] after food. Father of the bride does his thing.
"Groom stands up and says 'just before I like properly get started, there's envelopes coming round now if you could all open them up. Yeah, those are pictures of the bride f****** the best man, so I'll be leaving now.
"[He] drops the microphone and him and all his family knew about it, and left. Because they wanted the bride to have had to pay for the food."
Shocked by the story, Beth asks: "So the bride had to pay for everything?"
Georgie replied: "The bride's family paid for everything. Karma is a b****."
A clip of the podcast was posted to its official TikTok page, where viewers commented rabidly on the shocking story. Some applauded the groom for his plotting.
Nick replied: "Life is all about timing !! What a legend !!"
Love_from_Em added: "Imagine the other guests just sitting there like, 'so... will there still be cake or...'"
Emma typed: "my mouth actually dropped. OMG!!!"
Katreena Floan admitted: "I don't blame him at all!! I'd do the same."
One user asked: "But if they're at the reception making speeches then they've already had the ceremony and he married her..."
Gem responded: "Can get it annulled easily because of the proof of infidelity I'm guessing."
