Two Greggs superfans embarked on an epic adventure by visiting over 30 of the high street bakeries in one day. Sarah Redhead and Natasha Young, both 15, decided to visit all of the chain's branches in Newcastle for a fun day out. And the Greggs-obsessed teens spent 12 hours touring a gut-busting 33 branches.
The "mad" duo, as their friends and family affectionately dubbed them, loved the trip, which saw them set off at 7.45am before returning at 7.30pm. And, of course, they enjoyed snacks on the way - treating themselves to sausage rolls, doughnuts, and cookies. The teenagers were inspired to undertake their Greggs crawl after watching others complete a similar feat on social media.

Keen to try it out in their home city, they then drew up a list of 33 shops around Newcastle. After mapping out their quest on Google Maps, the pair used the Metro to zip around the city centre.
One stop even saw the schoolgirls visit Newcastle Airport to visit a store next to the arrival hall.
Despite visiting so many destinations, Sarah said she only forked out £15 on the day as she only bought snacks and water from some branches.
The Greggs-lover, from Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, explained: "It started off as a joke, but then we thought 'let's actually do it'.
"I'm a big fan of Greggs. Whenever I'm in town, I'll go to Greggs. Me and Natasha saw somebody on YouTube had walked to all the Greggs in their town. In Newcastle, there's a Greggs on every other street.
"We just thought 'Why not try to go to them all?'."
Explaining their methodology, she added: "We didn't order food from every Greggs, but we did from quite a few of them.
"When you're in town, there's at least ten there, so ordering food from each one would be a bit much.
"We ordered from about half of them, I'd say. I'd usually order a sausage roll or doughnuts or cookies.
"We also bought a lot of water as it was a hot day, I drank about five bottles of water. I don't think I spent that much money overall, it was only £15."
Sarah concluded: "Our friends and family thought we were mad when we did it but having done it I'm glad we did it. It was a good day out."
