After the Denver Broncos announced Sean Payton as their new head coach on Friday, team owner/CEO Greg Penner released the following statement:

Our goal was to identify a strong leader for the Denver Broncos who is focused on winning, and we found him in Coach Payton.
Payton, 59, signed a five-year contract with the Broncos. He will meet the media at an introductory press conference at the team’s facility on Monday.
