NFL WEEK 11
GREG COTE’S THURSDAY PICK
TITANS (6-3) at PACKERS (4-6)
Line: GB by 3.
Cote’s pick: GB, 23-16.
TV: 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Prime Video.
Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay found a tourniquet and climbed back into the playoff hunt with last week’s huge overtime comeback vs. Dallas. Now the Packers have that needed feel-good momentum, the home field, the weather and Rodgers’ prime-time mojo all in their favor as Tennessee visits Lambeau Field to kick off Week 11. Temps expected in the mid-20s won’t be as usual for Ryan Tannehill as for Rodgers. There also is a prime-time factor in play, with Rodgers’ Gee Bees on a 13-2 run under the lights and Tannehill 8-9 all-time at night, with 16 interceptions in 17 games. The matchup itself crystallizes as Derrick Henry trying to take advantage of GB’s subpar run defense, and Rodgers facing a Titans pass D allowing the second-most yards in the league. Rodgers has been playing through a thumb injury; RB Aaron Jones (shin) and WR Allen Lazard (shoulder) are iffy but the thought is all will play. Pack has a greater need for this win than Titans, Rodgers has a new toy in rookie WR Christian Watson, and Lambeau at night should be the deciding edge.
