Green Bay Packers player overall ratings for ‘Madden NFL 24’

Want to know good the Green Bay Packers will be in the new “Madden NFL 24” video game from EA Sports?

From Jaire Alexander at 95 overall to Jake Hanson at 58 overall, here are the individual overall ratings for every player on the Packers virtual roster:

Quarterback

Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Jordan Love: 70
Sean Clifford: 58
Danny Etling: 49

Madden is going to make Love earn it as a first-year starter. He ranks 33rd among all quarterbacks in overall rating. Clifford and Etling are scary virtual backups.

Running back

Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Aaron Jones: 88 overall
A.J. Dillon: 78 overall
Lew Nichols: 63 overall
Tyler Goodson: 62 overall
Patrick Taylor: 60 overall
Henry Pearson (FB): 59 overall

Jones is the 10th best running back overall at launch, with the second-best juke rating. Dillon has 95 carry and 87 trucking.

Christian Watson: 77 overall
Romeo Doubs: 74 overall
Jayden Reed: 73 overall
Bo Melton: 68 overall
Dontayvion Wicks: 68 overall
Samori Toure: 67 overall
Grant DuBose: 64 overall
Jeff Cotton: 63 overall

It’s a fast group (Watson has 96 speed), but Madden isn’t convinced it’s a good group. Yet. The guess here is Watson’s rating goes up by the end of the 2023 season.

Tight end

Junfu Han-USA TODAY Sports

Josiah Deguara: 68 overall
Luke Musgrave: 66 overall
Tucker Kraft: 66 overall
Tyler Davis: 60 overall
LS Matt Orzech: 26 overall*

*Madden lists most long snappers as tight ends.

Looks fair, considering the expected struggles of rookie tight ends. Musgrave has 87 speed, so he’ll be a potential weapon.

Offensive line

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

OT David Bakhtiari: 90 overall
OL Elgton Jenkins: 87 overall
OL Jon Runyan Jr.: 77 overall
C Josh Myers: 73 overall
OT Zach Tom: 72 overall
OT Yosh Nijman: 71 overall
OL Royce Newman: 70 overall
OL Sean Rhyan: 69 overall
OT Rasheed Walker: 63 overall
OT Kadeem Telfort: 61 overall
OT Luke Tenuta: 61 overall
OT Caleb Jones: 60 overall
OL Jake Hanson: 58 overall

A strong group, with two excellent starters and seven total players with a rating of at least 70. The virtual Packers quarterback should be well protected in Madden 24.

Defensive line

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Kenny Clark: 86 overall
Devonte Wyatt: 70 overall
Colby Wooden: 66 overall
TJ Slaton: 66 overall
Karl Brooks: 64 overall
Jonathan Ford: 63 overall
Antonio Moultrie: 62 overall
Chris Slayton: 60 overall

Yeah, so, the virtual Packers might have some issues stopping the run. Clark finished just outside the top 10 of interior defenders in overall rating.

Edge rusher

Rashan Gary: 88 overall
Preston Smith: 76 overall
Lukas Van Ness: 73 overall
Justin Hollins: 71 overall
Kingsley Enagbare: 69 overall
Jonathan Garvin: 65 overall
Brenton Cox Jr.: 61 overall
La’Darius Hamilton: 59 overall

While stopping the run might be tricky, pressuring the quarterback shouldn’t be. This is a talented and deep group of virtual pass-rushers.

Linebacker

(AP Photo/Stacy Bengs)

De’Vondre Campbell: 85
Quay Walker: 78
Eric Wilson: 68
Isaiah McDuffie: 65

Strong unit here. Campbell is one of the best virtual inside linebackers (ninth in overall rating), and Walker has a surprisingly good rating entering Year 2.

Cornerback

Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

Jaire Alexander: 95 overall
Rasul Douglas: 81 overall
Eric Stokes: 76 overall
Keisean Nixon: 68 overall (90 kick return rating)
Corey Ballentine: 67 overall
Carrington Valentine: 65 overall
Shemar Jean-Charles: 63 overall
Kiondre Thomas: 62 overall

Alexander is the second-best cornerback by overall rating in the game. Douglas and Stokes provide two more quality coverage players, and not many teams have three corners as good as Green Bay’s.

Safety

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Darnell Savage: 76 overall
Rudy Ford: 74 overall
Jonathan Owens: 72 overall
Tarvarius Moore: 69 overall
Anthony Johnson Jr.: 65 overall
Tariq Carpenter: 64 overall
Dallin Leavitt: 63 overall
Innis Gaines: 62 overall

The ratings for Savage and Ford feel…generous. Still, this is a poor position group.

Specialists

Pat O’Donnell: 70
Anders Carlson: 69
Daniel Whelan: 66

Nothing special about the Packers specialists entering 2023.
