Echo readers were disgusted by the 'greedy' mum who stole £250,000 from her employers.
Angela Boote from Lower Lane, had worked for Griffiths and Armour insurance brokers since 1994 and while managing some of the company's banking functions took cash for herself. Spending money on lavish holidays, jewellery and clothes.
She was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday and jailed for forty months. Her clients included charities to NHS trusts.

In 2017 she began redirecting the funds into four accounts linked to her including a joint account she shared with her husband. Her family are not believed to be connected to the case.
ECHO readers have reacted with anger to Boote's crime on social media and in the comments section of the ECHO website.
Ed Austin said: "She got off lightly. In charge of the bank and she milked it. Hard to think of a worse breach of trust."

While one commenter said: "We all go through life with something going on but we’re not all thieving off are bosses who were good enough to give us a job".
