The Greeks have come out strong in the first quarterfinal matchup against Germany in the ongoing basketball tournament. At the end of the first quarter, Greece is leading with a 10-point advantage, holding a score of 21-11 over Germany. This performance is particularly impressive considering that Greece was the lowest seed from pool play to advance to the knockout rounds.
Leading the charge for Greece is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has already contributed 6 points to the team's total. The world champion Germans, on the other hand, are looking to regroup and mount a comeback in the second quarter.
