Greater Manchester was treated to a largely warm and dry bank holiday weekend, but that could all change this week as heavy cloud and scattered showers are expected to be the picture for the week ahead.
Despite saying goodbye to April, the traditional showers that come with the month are expected to linger across the region this week and possibly into the weekend.
The plus side is that temperatures are expected to start creeping up to the mid to late teens, but sadly the sun to match it hasn't quite arrived - meaning it might not quite be time for BBQ season yet.

Bank Holiday Monday and the start of the week is expected to get off to a rather murky start, but there is the hope of the occasional sunny spell later in the afternoons or evenings.
But by the end of the week, the chance of rain showers is more likely - and some places could even see more heavier spells of wet weather. According to the Met Office, this is the day-by-day weather forecast for the region for the week commencing May 2.
Today
The Bank Holiday Monday got off to a rather cloudy start with mist and heavy cloud in most areas across the region. Tuesday
A dry but cloudy start is forecast with some sunny spells possibly developing throughout the morning. The sun won't last for long though as the outlook is cloudy for the afternoon with the possibility of showers arriving by the evening. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 15 degrees Celsius.
Wednesday
The gloomy weather is set to continue with light rain expected to change to overcast by the late morning. There might be the odd sunny spell but scattered showers also remain a threat. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 16 degrees and lows of nine degrees.
Thursday
Some rain is forecast for the region on Thursday, but temperatures are staying mild. There could be the odd sunny spell by the evening in some parts of Greater Manchester. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 17 degrees with lows of 11 degrees.
Friday
More rain is forecast towards the end of the week. Friday could start with cloudy conditions and scattered showers, with longer spells of rain expected in the North West of the country. Winds are generally light but there is a chance of stronger winds in the north. Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 16 degrees.
