It has been incredibly cold over the past week as Greater Manchester froze in sub-zero temperatures. The mercury has rarely climbed above 0C while the region has endured a cold snap which has frankly outstayed its welcome.
Tricky winter conditions are set to stay with us this weekend too, with a number of Met Office warnings in place. A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place for almost the entire UK - including Greater Manchester - on Sunday, running from 7am to 9pm.
Meanwhile, some parts of Greater Manchester have also been issued a more severe amber warning for ice, from 9am to 8pm on Sunday. The warning includes areas to the east of the city - including much of Tameside, Stockport, Oldham and Rochdale.

The Met Office is warning that the weather could bring disruption. It is warning those in areas hit by the amber warning to expect icy surfaces and dangerous driving conditions, with collisions and travel delays possible, along with the potential for power cuts and phone signal outages. But there is good news if you've had enough of the icy spell - as milder weather will arrive in the final week before Christmas.
