Greater Manchester Police reported 'technical issues' across 'a number of systems' on Wednesday night (February 8).
It was not confirmed by the force what faults were reported. Police issued a public statement outlining the technical issues with engineers called in to try and fix it.
Anyone who may have been experiencing issues but was in need of emergency assistance was told to continue calling 999 or report non urgent matters via their online systems or 101.

A statement shared online read: "We have been experiencing technical issues this evening across a number of systems. We are working with engineers to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
"If you are experiencing issues and require emergency assistance please continue to call 999. If your call is not urgent, you can report online on our website www.gmp.police.uk or call 101."
Greater Manchester Police have been approached for further details on the nature of the faults.
