‘Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to get relief from turbid water’

HYDERABAD: All measures have been taken to supply Godavari water without turbidity, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) said.

Keeping in view of 12 lakh cusecs of run-off water with high quantity of turbidity received at Yellampally Reservoir due to rains, the officials cautioned the consumers. “The HMWS&SB is treating the raw water at the water treatment plant in Mallaram by using chemicals,” managing director of HMWS&SB Dana Kishore said on Monday. “The water is safe for drinking and other purposes,” he said.

Water board teams are testing the water samples at various localities of Godavari water supply areas and consumers can register their complaints, in case they get turbidity water, by dialling the call centre on 155313. tnn
