A curry house that struggled to make a comeback after the pandemic has been saved by an award-winning restaurateur. There was dismay from regulars when Masala Junction, in Carrington, announced it would close on October 15.
However, it won't be for long as Amita Sawhney, the owner of MemSaab, has stepped into the breach to stop the business from going under and save jobs. Naj Aziz, who opened Masala Junction seven years ago, described it as "a very unexpected turn of events."
He posted the "great news" on Facebook, saying: "Our very good friend and fellow restaurateur, Amita Sawhney, whom you may recognise from MemSaab on Maid Marian Way, reached out to us with a message that we're really excited to share with you.
