It won't be long until thousands of runners take to the city streets to compete in the Great Manchester Run 2022.
Some 25,000 people will be preparing to lace up their trainers and take on either the 10k or half marathon route this Sunday (22 May). Televised by the BBC, both runs will be punctuated by live music from eight entertainment zones - and, of course, the sound of thousands of supports cheering on the city's athletes.
The 10k route, which is 6.9 miles shorter than the half marathon, will allow participants to take in the view of Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, the award-winning Imperial War Museum at Salford Quays, and The Lowry.
