Star Port Adelaide forward Robbie Gray and two-time Adelaide best and fairest midfielder Rory Laird have been forced off in their AFL pre-season derby match.
After an impressive challenge from Adelaide in the first half, the Power dominated with eight goals to three in the third term and won 17.9 (111) to 11.8 (74) on Saturday at Richmond Oval.
Gray left the game late in the opening term with what the Power are calling minor hamstring awareness.
They predict the four-time All Australian and three-time club best and fairest will be available for their round-one game on March 19 against Brisbane at the Gabba.
Laird was forced out of the game in the third quarter with a right hand injury.
He had strapping on his fingers post-match and it's unclear whether the injury will sideline him for Adelaide's season opener at home on March 20 against Fremantle.
The young Crows looked the better side against last year's preliminary finalists and led by five points at halftime in windy conditions.
But the Power kicked into high gear and killed the game off in the third quarter.
The Crows pulled to within three goals midway through the final term but Port again kicked clear with the last three goals of the game.
Mitch Georgiades starred with four goals and Brownlow Medallist Ollie Wines racked up a game-high 31 disposals.
Adelaide captain Rory Sloane had 10 clearances and 24 possessions, while last year's No.6 draft pick Josh Rachele is set for his round-one debut after kicking three goals.
