It may have been a drizzly day at the Grand National today as Ladies Day at Aintree got underway - but that didn’t stop everyone putting on their best summer outfits in the hopes of bagging the coveted Style Award for 2023.
This year's winner has been announced as Sian Jones, who opted for a two-piece outfit, rather than a dress.
While many race goers opt for lavish designer brands, Sian’s outfit was actually from ASOS - and is pretty affordable considering the dress that took the top spot last year came in at over £300.

Sian sported the ASOS DESIGN maxi lehenga skirt in wisteria embroidery in mustard, with the matching crop top, which cost £115 and £55 respectively.
The top features a crew neck and long, nearly-sheer sleeves with floral detailing - perfect for spring.
The long flowing skirt sees a matching pattern, with a high waist and zip-side fastening. She completed the look with a pair of lilac heels, also from ASOS, and a matching lilac headband from Etsy, and a bag from a charity shop.
Being crowned the winner of the prestigious award means that Sian, from Ellesmere Port, will win a host of prizes, including cash, vouchers and tickets to Ladies Day next year.
According to The Jockey Club website, she’ll get a holiday worth £5,000 with £1,500 spending money, a £1,000 donation to a chosen charity, a £300 House of Cavani voucher, two Garden Club tickets to Ladies Day 2024 and a Randox Health full-body package.
This year, the award was sponsored by Quiz, and judged by a host of stars, including Kady McDermott, Natasha Jonas, Frankie Foster, Gemma Cutting and Catherine Murphy.
Last year’s winner was Donna Mulligan, who wore a £325 Karen Millen red caped dress - so Sian’s look is quite the contrast from 2022’s top pick.
Plus, with it being a top and skirt, it makes it much more versatile as it can be worn together or separate - but either way, it’s stunning, and perfect for upcoming summer weddings.
