A group of ten modernist buildings and urban complexes associated with the transformation of Tashkent has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, bringing international recognition to a distinctive period of Central Asian architectural history.
Officially titled “Tashkent Modernist Architecture: Modernity and Tradition in Central Asia,” the serial property includes structures built between the 1960s and the early 1990s.
