A Manchester couple has spoken of a Grand Designs-style makeover that raised the value of their house to £500,000, Manchester Evening News reports. Ailsa and Paul Delaney bought their three-bed semi-detached home after their first child was born, but after having twins set out to create some additional space themselves.
The couple initially put their property on the market, but ultimately decided that instead of moving they would plan a huge Grand Designs-style extension and renovation project to turn their house in their permanent family home.
After buying their first home as a couple in 2002, but decided to move after having their first child in 2008 decided to move into a move family-friendly home.
