The upcoming 1.54 update for Gran Turismo 7 is now available as a 32G preload and will add five new cars, a Cafe Menu, and much more new content.
Another noteworthy change in the upcoming patch is that it will update the Gran Turismo Sophy AI agent for the classic Trial Mountain Circuit and Tokyo Expressway - East Clockwise.
There is also the Gran Turismo World Series Celebration Race players should keep a lookout for.
Gran Turismo 7's Update 1.54
The latest update for the highly popular racing game is set to arrive on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at 10:00 p.m. PT. The five new vehicles that are being added include the Ford Escort RS Cosworth '92 that is a homologation special.
This particular car was developed by Ford to have even higher performance than the previous Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4. The main source of power of this new vehicle is a longitudinally mounted 2L turbocharged twin-cam engine, according to the PlayStation Blog.
Another new addition to the game is the Mercedes-Benz W 196 R '55 which players can buy from Legend Cars.
This is a classic F1 car that made its mark in the history of motorsports. It was made by Mercedes-Benz in 1951 when the company decided to make a return to motorsports.
Mercedes-Benz developed this vehicle in tandem with a model for sports car racing that had the same basic components. The two cars were both successful in their fields and brought even more fame to the company.
Brand New Cars and Content
The latest update for Gran Turismo 7 follows the usual timeline for the game's patches. Studio chief Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed the update in an announcement during the weekend, GTPlanet said.
There is also a dedicated PlayStation 5 Pro update for the latest patch that is expected to come with in-race ray tracing and "experimental" 8K resolution. Many fans believe that these features will be part of the update due to its sheer size.
Server maintenance ahead of the new 1.54 update was scheduled as expected and the new features that come with it will be available afterwards. The addition of the Ford Escort Cosworth RS Cosworth '92 was made via a teaser, according to Traxion.
The new Cafe Menu that will be added to Gran Turismo 7 is Extra Menu No. 42: Ferrari Speciale which is for players who are Collector Level 48 and higher. There is also a new Rotiform wheel brand added for the GT Auto.
