Graham Potter without five Chelsea stars for Nottingham Forest clash

Chelsea will be without at least five players when they face Nottingham Forest on New Year's Day.

Graham Potter's men travel to the City Ground for a 4:30pm kick-off on Sunday, but they will have a depleted squad as a result of injuries in their squad.

Former Leicester star N'Golo Kante is out until March with a thigh injury, amid reports linking him with moves to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

England defender Reece James is likely out until February with a knee injury, while Wesley Fofana (knee) and Ben Chilwell (thigh) will both fail to recover in time for the Forest game.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also out until next, while Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech have returned late from the World Cup but could be fit in time.

Reported Forest transfer target Armando Broja is also out long-term with a knee injury, and has not been given a return date as yet.
