Graham Potter's position as Chelsea manager continues to become less and less secure as he lost his third game in a row on Sunday afternoon. The 2-0 loss to Tottenham follows a shock defeat to Southampton last weekend and the Champions League first leg blow against Borussia Dortmund before that.
The run for Chelsea is now the worst in the league for 10 years and continues a period of form going back to October that is as bad as any since 1995. Spurs' win against their fierce London rivals was also the first in the league at their new stadium.
On a day that could have started to make things up to fans that have already turned on their manager it was the opposite that happened. After an unspectacular first-half things collapsed following the break as Oliver Skipp scored within 60 seconds of the restart.

Chelsea never looked like getting back into the game from that point on and continued a run of losing every time they go behind under Potter. It is now 11 games that they have failed to come back from bring 1-0 behind and forms just one part of a wider collection of issues for the manager.
In a week that many picked out to define how much longer he gets in charge of the Blues, Potter got off to the worst possible start and will now be under immense pressure to impress the home fans against Leeds next weekend, though the latest odds indicate he might not even get that far.
Potter was already the favourite to lose his job after the catastrophe against Saints and that position has only worsened in the wake of the defeat in north London. According to Betfair Potter is well clear of David Moyes as the next favourite to lose his job, with odds worsening from 13/10 to 4/11 after the game. Moyes is next in at 10/3 whilst Bournemouth's Gary O'Neil is further back at 8/1.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Chelsea’s latest slip-up in the Premier League has prompted people to back Graham Potter to be the next Premier League manager to go and he’s now the 4/11 favourite to leave next having been 13/10 before the damaging 2-0 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium."
Fans made their opinions clear on Twitter with one user calling for Thomas Tuchel to return, saying: "Tuchel built a team no one wanted to play against at one point, Potter built a team everyone wants to play against." Meanwhile another thinks that this form goes beyond anything previously seen, writing: "I wasn’t Sarri Out. I wasn’t Lampard Out. I wasn’t Tuchel Out. I am Potter Out."
Meanwhile Potter himself explained that things are tougher than he ever expected. "This is where our responsibilities lie and if results aren't good enough, which they aren't at the moment, you can't rely on support forever, that's for sure," he said after the game. There will now be a nervous wait for the manager as a decision over his future is anticipated.
