Graham Potter has claimed that Mykhailo Mudryk could make his Chelsea debut versus Liverpool after completing his move to Stamford Bridge last weekend. The Ukraine international was presented on the pitch at half-time against Crystal Palace following a transfer that could eventually total £88million.
The 22-year-old joined Blues training earlier this week having not played in a competitive match since November, heading to the Premier League from a Shaktar Donetsk training camp. Potter believes Chelsea's newest star nevertheless could have an impact an Anfield.
The Blues boss was quick to caveat that Mudryk would not complete 90 minutes as Chelsea look to leapfrog their opponents in the table. The 47-year-old coach added his new charge was looking forward to getting started.

Potter said: "He hasn't played so much football recently but has been training well. There's a chance [he could make his debut]. 90 minutes, no. But probably a role.
"We've got to help everybody understand that he is coming from a different league and has to adapt. He is a young player that has a lot of potential but has had good experiences already. He is an exciting player. He's very happy to be here. He is looking forward to his career here and looking forward to get started."
The Blues are close to adding another signing in the form of Noni Madueke in a deal worth £35million, but that does not appear to have got over the line in time. Unsurprisingly, Potter was reluctant to speak on a player that still belongs to another club, even if PSV see the deal as done.
Potter said: "The club hasn't announced it yet and until he's a Chelsea player I've nothing to say. I don't like to talk about players that aren't Chelsea players."
