Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy lost his place as the Blues No.1 goalkeeper after Graham Potter's arrival at Stamford Bridge. Potter has continued to select Kepa Arrizabalaga as his starting keeper since replacing Thomas Tuchel as manager of the Blues.
Mendy's form has declined this season and he has not been able to change that at the World Cup with Senegal. The 30-year-old goalkeeper was at fault for both of the Netherlands' goals in their opening World Cup fixture in Group A as Senegal lost 2-0, despite qualifying for the round of 16 stage.
Since Potter took over at Chelsea in September, Mendy has started just two Premier League games, only because Kepa was out injured. Mendy is now preparing for Senegal's round of 16 tie against England on Sunday, but his future at Stamford Bridge remains in doubt.

Chelsea are said to have already offered Mendy to London rivals Tottenham as they look to sell him on in the January transfer window, with Potter keen on signing a replacement to start ahead of Kepa. The Senegalese goalkeeper cost Chelsea £22million when he arrived back in 2019 and has now been linked with a shock move to Juventus, as per TuttoJuve.
According to CIES Football Observatory, Mendy is currently worth €40million (£34million) due to his contract not expiring until 2025. Chelsea may be willing to accept a fee closer to what they paid for the 30-year-old three years ago, however, as they look to move him on and free up some transfer and wage budget.
Mendy was a crucial player under Tuchel as he helped the Blues win the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup, but his time at Stamford Bridge seems to be nearing an end.
