Graham Potter has confirmed that Raheem Sterling will still be recovering from injury at Cobham after picking up a knee injury in training last week. The Chelsea winger did not make the trip out to Germany and did not train with the first team on Tuesday morning.
Sterling joins N'Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic working to return to full fitness at the training ground on Wednesday while players such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Noni Madueke, Benoit Badiashile and David Datro Fofana, who did not make the Champions League squad for the knockout rounds, will have the day off.
That group were involved in the session before their teammates departed for their trip to Dortmund and Potter was pleased with the atmosphere that was in the air.

The Blues boss said in his press conference on Tuesday: "We trained today, so the players who were out of the good had a good session. They'll have a free day tomorrow and then we'll be back training on Thursday. So they'll be ready. Raheem, NG, and Christian Pulisic will be working their way back at Cobham. Everyone has been absolutely fine."
Wesley Fofana, Mateo Kovacic and Denis Zakaria all continued their return to fitness and have warranted a place in the squad to take on their German opponents, however. Fofana has not played a competitive match since going off injured against AC Milan at Stamford Bridge after suffering a setback in a friendly against Brentford.
Kovacic and Zakaria have more recently been involved but the former has seen a continuation of his calf problem to miss games against Liverpool, Fulham and West Ham. Zakaria has not been involved since suffering a hamstring injury at Craven Cottage in early January.
It does not appear any of the trio will be deemed ready to start the game against Borussia Dortmund, however.
Potter said: "All of the three are in the squad so that's good. Like I said before the previous game they were getting closer to minutes. The challenge for us is to build them up and to make sure they're right from a gametime perspective but it's good that Wesley, Mateo and Denis are with the group."
