MUMBAI: Once known for having some of the most efficient and honest police officers, Maharashtra police force’s reputation has now been marred with high ranking IPS officials facing charges of corruption and extortion.
Fifty-nine-year-old former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh, an IPS officer of the 1988 batch, was placed under suspension after a series of offences were registered against him.
