One of the easier decisions the Tennessee Titans had to make with one of their own pending free agents, the team has re-upped with long snapper Morgan Cox on a one-year deal.
We don’t have the dollar figure for Cox’s deal just yet, but expect it to be a slight raise from the $1.3 million he made last year, which is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
Cox is one of the elite long snappers in the NFL, and has been for most of his career, as evidenced by his five Pro Bowl nods and one first-team All-Pro. Cox last made the Pro Bowl with the Titans in 2022.
With Cox under contract, the Titans have two-thirds of their elite specialists group inked, along with punter Ryan Stonehouse. The last position to address is kicker, where the team absolutely should re-sign Nick Folk.
While it remains to be seen if that happens, the move to bring Cox back was a great one.
