The notorious pedophile who abused former Australian of the Year Grace Tame when she was a student will likely be declared unfit to face trial on harassment charges.

Nicolaas Ockert Bester, a former teacher at Hobart private schools, was found guilty of sexually abusing Ms Tame - later named Australian of the Year - when she was his student in 2011.
