Grab Ya Wallets Because Go-To Skincare Just Dropped A Haircare Range & We Can Confirm It’s Good, Real Good

Go-To Haircare

Collective squeals were heard across the nation this morning as cult-favourite skincare brand Go-To Skincare finally dropped a haircare range — Go-To Hair.

After a decade of hints, pleas, and apparently, some quite aggressive DMs from their community, Go-To have released three hero haircare products — a scalp treatment, a hair mask and hair oil.

The three-step ritual is designed to make your salon results (and colour) last, and leave your hair feeling as healthy as your skin. Before trying it, we just knew it was going to be good because it was formulated in the same lab as Go-To Skincare, so it takes a skincare-first approach.

Each hair product contains clinically backed actives, multitasking formulations, and results that don’t just look good (important) but also support hair health from root to tip (VERY important). And since we’re all spending so much time and money at the salon, each formula is clinically proven to fight colour fade.

Go-To would never do us dirty like that. Nuhuh!

Introducing Go-To Skincare’s Haircare Range

Rapid Scalp Exfoliant

Look at that nozzle!!! (Image: Go-To)

Rapid Scalp Exfoliant is a chemical exfoliant scalp treatment that aims to help balance your scalp between washes. It’s formulated with a multi-targeted blend of AHAs and BHAs to help regulate oil production, while hydrating plant extracts and antioxidants soothe and refresh the skin.

First impressions

I’ve been trying this one over the last week, which means I’ve used it the recommended 2–3 times, and I’m really excited to see how this helps my scalp health long term. The bottle design is flawless! As someone who has curly hair and a lot of it, the little nozzle that you can glide along the scalp between the parts is genius! *chef’s kiss*

It meant that I could apply it directly over different sections of my hair and massage it into my scalp rather than just slapping it onto my hair. If you know the struggle, you know the struggle.

You can shop the Rapid Scalp Exfoliant ($45) here.

Hair Hero

Hair Hero is a lightweight hair oil that works as a treatment and styling oil for shinier, softer, and stronger hair. Like her sister Face Hero, Hair Hero features buriti to help nourish and soften, while algae oil works to tame frizz and the appearance of split ends, heat damage, and humidity.

First Impressions

As a curly hair girl, hair oil can often be my best friend or my worst enemy. In this case, I think we’re going to be besties. It’s a beautifully lightweight hair oil that my hair honestly just ate up. It softened some of the frizzies I’d usually have and left my hair feeling much more hydrated and shiny. It also didn’t make my mop look like a massive grease ball either, so points for that!

Very Luxe Hair Mask

VERY Luxe, very good! (Image: Go-To)

Very Luxe Hair Mask is an at-home hair treatment that Go-To swears is good enough to rival an in-salon treatment. And honestly, after one use, I agree.

Go-To explains that they demand-results form the formula, so it’s loaded with peptides, humectants, butters, and nourishing oils to deeply replenish dry, damaged, or overworked hair with no limp, greasy afterfeel.

First impressions

I’ve already used the Very Luxe Hair Mask twice now, and it’s now taken up residency in my shower. I usually don’t love how hair masks leave my hair feeling — limp, fluffy and too squeaky clean. So I’m always hesitant to use them too often or before big events. But this one, she’s different. I really liked the way it left my hair feeling — soft but curls still intact, and the smell!! She’s clean, she’s fresh, she’s gorgeous! (Go-To users, IYKYK)

You can shop the Very Luxe Hair Mask ($49) here.

The entire range is all under $50 each or $175 (save $33) for the set, which is a pretty reasonable price point for salon-worthy products.

“Just as our skin needs masks and exfoliants and oils to thrive, so does our hair,” says founder Zoë Foster Blake.

“This range took years of planning, research, and tinkering by our in-house lab because, like skin, hair is so closely tied to confidence, and we were not about to create an army of lank hair, or fade people’s lovely (expensive) colour. I can proudly say we’ve brought the clinical rigour and ingredient innovation we demand from our skincare to the world of haircare, and the results speak for themself.”

There you have it, folks. Your new haircare heroes are sorted.
