India cannot support making Most-Favoured-Nation (MFN) treatment conditional on obligations chosen by some World Trade Organisation (WTO) members, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said at the G20 Trade Ministers' Meeting in Milwaukee, according to ANI.
Goyal raised the issue during a session on the MFN principle, stressing that the framework should ensure equal trading terms for the smallest and largest traders. He said preserving this balance would strengthen confidence, predictability and inclusiveness in the multilateral trading system.
