New Delhi: The Government has announced a change in passport issuance rules. Under the new regulations, individuals born on or after October 1, 2023, must provide a birth certificate as proof of their date of birth. Those born before this date can continue to use alternative documents.
An official note was issued this week effecting the amendment to the Passport Rules of 1980.
