Government urged to ban ‘no ball games’ signs to beat childhood smartphone addiction

A new report is urging the Government to prioritise the creation of child-friendly, playful neighbourhoods to combat the increasing dominance of smartphones in children's lives.

The Raising the Nation Play Commission inquiry highlights that closures of playgrounds, busier roads, shortened school break times, and increased screen time have significantly limited children's play opportunities.
