Government pledges £900m of sport investment in boost to Euro 2028 and Tour de France plans

The government has pledged £900million of investment into grassroots sport and major sporting events in the UK, including hosting Euro 2028.

The funding commitment comes as part of the government’s Plan for Change and has been announced by the Culture Secretary, Lisa Nandy. It was originally outlined in the Chancellor’s Spending Review last Wednesday.
