California Governor Gavin Newsom recently commented on the surge of support for Vice President Kamala Harris since she replaced President Biden at the top of the Democratic Party's 2024 ticket. Newsom noted that there has been a significant increase in enthusiasm and assistance for Harris following Biden's decision to end his re-election bid.

Biden's decision came after facing criticism for his performance against former President Trump in a debate, raising concerns about his ability to serve another term. This led to calls from within the Democratic Party for Biden to suspend his campaign, which he eventually did, paving the way for Harris to take the lead.
