The UK is preparing for a jubilant long weekend of afternoon teas, street parties, celebrations at the palace and so much more. In honour of the Platinum Jubilee this year, recipe box Gousto has created a unique range of dishes, honouring Queenie’s foodie favourites with some unexpected twists.
The range includes a bunless Venison and Pork Burger with Cranberry Relish - said by sources close to the palace to be the guilty pleasure of the Queen. Gousto’s version is served with chunky twice-cooked chips, truffle mayo and an orange and gem lettuce salad.
There are royal all-timers like Coronation Chicken Wraps with Cheesey Nibbles and a Creamy Coronation Chickpea Salad on offer too. But the jewel in the crown is a memorable twist on your typical Jubilee party spread, a Cream Tea Burger smothered in Rodda’s clotted cream and rich tomato jam.
The Queen Teas range will be available through the Gousto menu for two weeks, available to order from May 10, with first delivery from May 28. The full range includes:
