What to expect from Gothic 1 Remake
Gothic 1 Remake takes you on a journey in the Valley of the Mines, as this is a faithful retelling of the classic. Every element in the game world will be responsive to your actions, and it’s important for you to explore the vast world.
The Kingdom of Myrtana has been invaded by the orcs, and King Rhobar II wants to mine a magical ore to make a powerful weapon. According to the lore, the same magic barrier that forced the prisoners to mine relentlessly backfired, which resulted in everyone getting trapped. As chaos spreads, it’s up to you to maintain the order.
While the story remains the same, the game has been rebuilt using the current technology. You’ll get over 50 hours of gameplay as you explore various corners of the Colony. There will be enemies to challenge, secrets to be found, and NPCs to interact with as you find out what went wrong.
Your decisions will have a key impact on the storytelling as you choose which faction to align with. The combat system has been modernized, which allows for a more fluid and dynamic experience. Ultimately, you decide how you want to play, as Gothic 1 Remake allows you that freedom. While there’s no demo to try out, you can pre-order the game to get the official soundtrack for free.
