Gogglebox star Sophie Sandiford made a rare return to social media over the Bank Holiday weekend and surprised fans with a snap alongside her sister.
Fans are used to seeing the florist on the hit Channel 4 programme with her older brother Pete Sandiford but the pair also have other siblings who don't appear on the show which sees them dishing out their thoughts on the latest TV shows and breaking news.
But the duo also have a brother and sister who don't appear on screen. Mum Julie and dad Paul are also parents to Lucy and Harry. They're also rarely seen on the Gogglebox stars' social media pages but Sophie had a bit of love for her sister over the weekend.
Sophie shared a gorgeous snap with Lucy, on her Instagram page, showing the pair grinning for the camera while appearing to be at a party. She simply captioned the image: "Sis" with a loveheart emoji as she tagged Lucy in the post.
And the compliments were soon being left in the comments section with many thinking Sophie and Lucy could be twins.@carolralph8551 said: "Beautiful photo." @sykes_mel wrote: "Both look absolutely stunning." @mickthompson38 replied: "You look like twins more then sisters."
@alisweetiepie18 shared: "Beautiful girls and gorgeous picture @sophiesandiford. Does @llucyjohnson share the family humour?" @eileenhuntertwin laughed: "Double trouble." @karly_j_hayes added: "Gorgeous girls."
Others, however, were distracted by Sophie's rare appearance on social media and bombarded her with the same question. @mirandthere said: "When are you back?!! Friday nights aren’t the same without the GB crew!" @doogantonyisared asked: "When you back on tele?" @stevenra74 echoed: "When are you back on TV?"
Well, fans will be pleased to know that our favorite armchair critics will be back on screens on Friday, September 9. In his latest Instagram post, which saw Jenny Newby giving a speech with the programme's 2022 Bafta in her garden, Lee Riley said he'd bee seeing his best pal and co-star for filming next week.
Meanwhile, Sophie and Lucy have actually appeared on-screen before as Gogglebox wasn't Sophie and Pete's first telly appearance. The family-of-six, plus family dog Elivs, were hired by TalkTalk when it launched its 'This Stuff Matters' Christmas campaign.
They were filmed non-stop for two weeks with 17 unmanned cameras to find the perfect "ordinary, everyday moments". And it was after that, in 2016, that Sophie and Pete were snapped up by Gogglebox.
