Gordon signs, Aubameyang starts - Thomas Tuchel's best Chelsea attack after £350m spend

What will Chelsea's attack look like for the West Ham fixture?

The London derby against the east Londoners is the first game that Thomas Tuchel will manage after the summer transfer window slams shut. So far this summer, new owner Todd Boehly has invested around £170million on five new recruits, three of them being for the now and the other two for the future.

Still, Boehly is expected to spend up to £350m before the September 1 deadline with a new defender, more attackers and potential midfield and wing-back cover on the agenda for the current World Champions. In terms of the attack, there have been multiple forwards in different positions linked to SW6 with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the strongest rumour to date.

football.london understands that the former Arsenal man is happy at Barcelona but will listen to offers made by Chelsea. So far though, the Evening Standard has reported that little progress has been made in convincing the Gabon international to make an early return to the Premier League.

Still, talks will keep continuing ahead of Chelsea potentially submitting an official proposal to the club who are in desperate need of funds to stabilise the ship and meet La Liga demands.

Elsewhere, with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech expected to depart before the end of the window, a new winger is being considered and amidst links to the likes of Wilfried Zaha and others, Everton's Anthony Gordon seems the most likely option at this current moment.

football.london understands that the player himself is open to the move and Chelsea could use players Frank Lampard wants to construct a deal that all-in-all, will add up to the required £50m asking price.

With all of this taken into account, football.london previews Tuchel's best attack after £350m transfer mission is completed.

The front three in this situation would involve Aubameyang spearheading the attack and in the process benching Kai Havertz and Armando Broja who both will have to battle hard for the second striker spot.

On the left wing, Sterling would be a guaranteed starter and you would assume that Gordon will be brought in and used straight away on the right.

If not, Havertz could potentially try out the wide positions whilst Gordon acclimatises or the more likely scenario will see Mason Mount start and not drop potentially into a deeper midfield position.

Although with the current injury predicament, if a new midfielder is not signed amid a current Frenkie de Jong stalemate, Mount may have to cover In a deeper role whilst the likes of N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic recover.

Chelsea's dream front three: Raheem Sterling, Anthony Gordon, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Substitute options: Armando Broja, Kai Havertz, Harvey Vale and Mason Mount if he isn't dropped to a deeper position.
