Gordon Ramsay's simple burger hack that makes them taste 'next-level'

Love him or hate him, nobody can deny that Gordon Ramsay is one of the UK's most iconic chefs.

The fiery TV personality can often be seen on our screens hurling out insults or working hard to get a team of failing restaurant staff in line. But the multi-Michelin starred chef also likes to demonstrate how people at home can elevate their cooking skills, even when making simple meals.

And a clip of Gordon sharing a simple burger hack has recently went viral on TikTok, with the chef himself saying it makes them taste 'next-level'.

The clip was posted by @gordon_entertainment, a fan page set up to provide viewers with all the Gordon Ramsay content they could ever need.

The video, which features Gordon showing how to carry out the simple burger hack, has harnessed over two million views since last week with some people describing the trick as 'mind-blowing'.

Standing over a sizzling hot pan and getting ready to prepare the meal, Gordon raved about how much he "loves" cheese on a burger before getting a slice of it and placing it flat on the pan's surface.

He then sprinkled some salt over the top saying: "We're going to caramelise that cheese and stick the base of the bun on top of it."

Seconds later and the cheese slice was melting and bubbling away. Grabbing a burger bun, Gordon said: "This is where the magic starts. This is where our burgers start to go next-level.

"Take your bun, very carefully, and stick that on to the cheese."

He placed the bun on top of the melting cheese slice and carefully dragged it around the pan so the whole thing was mopped up by the bread, leaving it to rest for an additional couple of seconds.

Then the bun was lifted out of the hot pan, covered in a delicious layer of caramelised cheese and ready to be paired with a meat patty and salad for the perfect burger.

In the comments, people were blown away at Gordon's hack and were looking forward to trying it out for themselves.

One person said: "Love watching you cook I pick up a lot of tips that makes me more confident when I’m cooking."

Another simply commented: "Mind blowing", while a third wrote: "Now that's a game changer."

But many were also stunned at the non-stick pan Gordon appeared to use, that means no melted cheese was left on the surface.

"My pan could never chef," one person joked and another commented: "Not on my pan."
