Gordon Ramsay reacts to claims dog pooed inside his London restaurant

Gordon Ramsay has hit back at claims that a dog pooed in the middle of his London restaurant.

Influencer Gizzelle Cade claimed another diner’s pooch urinated and defecated inside at Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza in Battersea.

In a now-viral video, the furious diner branded the restaurant “hell’s kitchen” in reference to Ramsay’s famous show and claimed staff did nothing after she alerted them to the dog’s alleged activities.

The clip showed a small sausage dog on a puppy pad but did not show it doing its business - although she claimed it did.

Ramsay, 59, has now hit out at the accusations, insisting CCTV footage shows that “under no circumstances” did the dog make a mess.

The TV chef branded the allegations “over-exaggerated” when asked about the incident by TMZ in New York City.

He told the reporter: “What we have seen is the CCTV footage and under no circumstances did the dog do a pee or poo.

“Over-exaggerated as always, clickbait,” he added, before thanking the interviewer for their “honesty”.

Ramsay - who recently appeared in his own Netflix docuseries - also asserted that dogs are “welcome” outside on the terrace of the restaurant.

Cade went viral on TikTok after sharing a video about why people should “never” go to Ramsay’s restaurant.

Standing outside the venue, she said: “I’m sitting at this restaurant enjoying a beautiful evening with my husband and my newborn baby, and I look up, and I see some woman with her dog on a wee wee pad taking a p*** and a s**t.

“I tell the waitress about this, and she doesn't do anything about it. The manager was there the entire time, he said nothing.

“I still paid the bill, but I'm telling you now, do not come to this restaurant, they allow dogs to s**t and p*** where you are eating.

“Beyond disgusting.”

The video sparked intense criticism from people online, with some labelling it as “disgusting” and incredibly unsanitary.

Earlier this year, Ramsay - who owns a restaurant empire - claimed Labour’s business rates spell disaster for the dining industry.

“The industry is facing a bloodbath. I was 21 when I moved [to London], and I’ve never seen it so bad,” he told the Standard.

“Restaurants are already closing every other day. It devastates me because it seems no one in power is thinking ahead and considering where we’ll be in five years. We’re being suffocated.

“What’s happening to pubs is madness: there was already one shutting every day before these proposed rises in business rates and taxes. They’re being crippled.

“Restaurants aren’t faring much better — I live in Wandsworth and you can’t walk 10 metres without seeing another closure, another boarded-up front.”
