Gordon Ramsay asked to sign life-sized cut out of himself by fan while dining in Glasgow

Gordon Ramsay has had a busy visit to Glasgow over the weekend where he enjoyed dining out and visiting Rangers FC's training ground.

But the TV chef was left gobsmacked after he was asked to a sign a life-sized cut out of himself while enjoying a meal at Glasgow's Ox and Finch. During the hilarious encounter, one excited fan interrupted his meal to ask the TV chef for his autograph on the blown-up photo.

The 55-year-old shared the hilarious video on his Instagram, which has already gathered over one million views. He captioned the post: "When I'm trying to have dinner in Glasgow..."

In the video, Gordon is seen sitting at a table in the restaurant before a man comes over grinning while clutching a life-sized cut out of the TV chef and asks him if he would sign 'himself'.

When presented with the cut out, Gordon sighs then sees the funny side: "What are you doing?! What in the f*** are you doing?! Where did you get that from?" The man laughs and replies: "My mates bought me it as a shrine!"

One fellow diner shouts over: "Gordon, are you flattered?" And he replied: "No!", causing the diners erupted into laughter.

Fans flocked to the comments on the post and loved his reaction.

One wrote: "Legit wearing the same outfit."

Another added: "Only in Glasgow."

While one said: "It must be difficult to get that time to relax sometimes."

One commented: "That is absolutely hilarious chef."

The restaurant, located on Sauchiehall Street, took to social media to thank Gordon for his visit, posting on Instagram: "Thrilled to welcome you to the Ox and Finch tonight, Gordon."

They also attached a photo of waiting and kitchen staff smiling happily with Gordon at the end of the night, with the famous restaurateur standing in the centre of the pack, embracing the workers.

The Michelin star chef replied in earnest and was quick to compliment the restaurant's food and service, writing: "Such a great dinner thank you and congrats @oxandfinch".

Over the weekend, the Hell's Kitchen star stopped by his former club and even had a look around the kitchen. The official Rangers Instagram and Twitter accounts posted a series of snaps of Gordon sporting a Gers shirt with 'CHEF RAMSAY' on the back.

In the first picture the Scots chef posed with the Dutch manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst as he presented him with his new shirt. In the next snap, John Lundstram gave the thumbs up as he got his picture with the famous chef.

Gordon posed with several other members of staff before being snapped in deep conversation with Gers captain James Tavernier - with the pair both in blue.
