Gordon Ramsay and his daughter Tilly have been confirmed as the latest stars to join Celebrity Gogglebox for the upcoming Stand Up to Cancer special.

The famous chef, 55, and Tilly, 20, will feature alongside each other on the Channel 4 show this Friday as they react to the week’s most buzzed-about television moments.

A promotional photo has been released of the father-and-daughter duo confirming the news. It shows the pair sitting on the sofa together in matching dark blue tracksuits.

Following the announcement, Gordon and Tilly said: “We’re always happy to support the superb work that Stand Up To Cancer do, and despite our TV tastes being polar opposites, we had a lot of fun filming this very special episode of Gogglebox.

“Every penny raised goes towards finding cures for cancer, so I hope we can help raise bucketloads of money.”

The Ramsays join a host of regular famous faces on the upcoming special episode of Celebrity Gogglebox, which celebrates Stand Up to Cancer reaching its 10th anniversary.

The charity last year raised its highest total of more than £3 million since launching in 2012, which it put towards translational cancer research.

Welsh stars Charlotte Church and Luke Evans have also been announced to appear on the Celebrity Gogglebox special on Friday.

Tilly found fame in her own right last year as she took part on the 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing, and came sixth with her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin.

Dad Gordon enthusiastically supported his daughter throughout her time on the BBC series. He also expressed his eagerness to join the show himself after being inspired by Tilly’s successful run.

Tilly was last seen on TV screens on Strictly Come Dancing 2021, where she came sixth (PA)

When asked by the Radio Times if he’d ever sign up to Strictly, the chef responded: “In a f***ing heartbeat.”

Speaking about her experience on the show following her exit in December, Tilly said: “These past 10 weeks have been the most incredible and most challenging weeks of my life but I have enjoyed every single second of it.

“I feel so grateful that I got to get to know some of the most hardworking and talented people ever. But most importantly the biggest thank you ever to the best partner I could have wished for @nikita__kuzmin. You have just been incredible in so many ways.

“I have absolutely loved learning to dance with you - we had the most fun. Thank you to everyone who supported us through this crazy journey as it’s something I am going to remember and be so grateful for the rest of my life.”
