Gwyneth Paltrow and the skier she is alleged to have collided with were both expected to testify in a US court on Friday as lawyers battle to establish who was at fault.

Terry Sanderson, a retired optometrist, is suing the Oscar-winning actress over the crash at the Deer Valley Resort in Utah, which left him with several broken ribs and a severe head injury.
