Republican Representative Cory Mills of Florida is currently under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia for an alleged assault incident. The MPD confirmed that they responded to a report of an assault at a Washington, DC, address on Wednesday.
Although the police report did not mention Mills by name, MPD spokesperson Tom Lynch verified that Mills is the subject of the investigation. Lynch explained that it is standard procedure not to disclose the subject's name during an ongoing investigation.
