Republican Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar claimed "New Yorkers have just fallen for the Socialist lie" following the victory of Zohran Mamdani in the city's mayoral elections.
"They elected a mayor who promised government controlled solutions, but history teaches us will only deliver government sanctioned misery. America, this is your warning! The people I represent have seen their countries destroyed by socialist tyranny and Florida will never fall for it. But to other states, do not fall for the socialist plague threatening to destroy our nation!" Salazar said in a social media post.
