The 49ers on Friday got some much-needed positive injury news ahead of their Week 16 bout with the Baltimore Ravens.
Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave was back in practice after missing all of Week 15 and the first session of Week 16. It was only a limited participation for him, but injuries have piled up at DT so getting even a limited practice from Hargrave is significant for the 49ers and could be a sign that he’s angling toward playing Monday night.
Here’s the full participation report from Friday:
Did not participate
DT Arik Armstead (foot, knee)
LB Oren Burks (knee)
TE Ross Dwelley (ankle)
WR Jauan Jennings (concussion)
Hargrave returned, but Armstead remains sidelined which is bad news for his chances to play in Week 16. That Jennings isn’t progressing through concussion protocol is also not a good sign, but he has until Monday to clear.
Limited participation
G Ben Bartch (finger)
DE Clelin Ferrell (ankle)
DT Javon Hargrave (hamstring)
RB Elijah Mitchell (knee)
Hargrave’s return is the headliner here, but Mitchell getting back in action is also a good sign for the 49ers backfield. He’s been out since hurting his knee against the Eagles way back in Week 13.
Full participation
G Spencer Burford (knee)
CB Deommodore Lenoir (rib)
No setbacks or changes here.
