Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Arnold has married his partner Stuart.
The journalist, 56, who is the entertainment editor on the ITV programme, announced the news on Monday’s show, telling co-hosts Kate Garraway and Ed Balls: “I got spliced!”
A photo of the couple appeared on screen, with Arnold adding: “That’s myself and my other half Stuart, and now my husband.”
Garraway said: “Aww, is that the first time you’ve said that?”
Arnold replied: “It is actually.”
The couple married on Friday at Hackney Town Hall with Arnold’s sisters-in-law from Melbourne in attendance, along with his “besties from the 80s.”
The presenter, who is from Hampshire but moved to Scotland as child, wore a kilt for the ceremony, which was a prop from the wardrobe department.
He said: “That all came from wardrobe. That’s how bad I am at organising these things.”
Arnold shared a photo of himself and Stuart on their wedding day on his Instagram and wrote: “The splice of life!”
Garraway commented: “Fantastic!!!” while Amanda Holden wrote: “Omg” along with several party popper emojis.
Ruth Langsford wrote: “How wonderful! Congratulations and wishing you all the happiness in the world.”
John Bishop commented: “Congratulations to you both.”
Arnold and his partner have been together since the early 2000s.
He previously discussed their home in London during an interview with House Beautiful in 2022, saying: “Having never had an outdoor space before, I was really keen to get started on the garden straight away when we moved in.
“Even though we live in central London and you hear the occasional siren, it really is an oasis. It’s extraordinarily quiet, really.”
