A Good Morning Britain commentator pointed out an issue with Matt Hancock's affair confession.
Friday's edition of the ITV news programme was hosted by Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins. The broadcasters were joined by Jacqui Smith and Iain Dale to discuss Mr Hancock's stint on I'm A Celebrity.
Mr Hancock's addition to the reality TV show has been controversial as he was forced to resign from his role as Health Secretary for breaking his own social distancing rules during the pandemic. The MP was forced to quit after he was caught on CCTV having an affair with aide Gina Coladangelo.

He explained he had "fallen in love" when he was asked about the incident on last night's I'm A Celeb. Mr Hancock added: "It was really tough. I messed up and I fessed up. I resigned. It's no excuse but I fell in love, right and that is hard. That also had a lot of consequences."
Mr Hancock was married to Martha Hoyer Millar and shares three children. Some viewers contacted Good Morning Britain and said they were enjoying Mr Hancock's I'm A Celeb appearance, but Jacqui Smith identified a problem with him being able to "justify" his behaviour on national television.
The former Home Secretary said: "Your families are involved in this as well and Matt Hancock has made a decision that will impact on his former wife and children He was able to sit on the telly and say 'I fell in love' and that's why. He was unfaithful to his wife and people will make their own decision about that.
"I feel a bit conflicted about his ability to just be able to justify himself like that. I hope he has talked to his ex-wife about what the implications of him doing this are because she's been on the receiving end of pretty difficult time."
