Fans of Good Morning Britain criticised a car crash interview today as they begged for it to stop.
Sir Christopher Chope was on the ITV show endlessly defending Prime Minister Liz Truss after three Tory MPs have openly called for her to step down. Sir Christopher insisted that the PM is "still in charge" despite U-turning on most of her major policies.
Hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley grilled him on his controversial thoughts. But the MP wasn't happy before fans branded him "deluded".

At one point, Richard explained how the Prime Minister has had to sack one of her close colleagues as well as all of her plans being "dismantled" by Jeremy Hunt - who she appointed as new Chancellor. Richard asked: "So what is she in charge of?"
Mr Chope replied: "Well Richard, I'm sorry but it's a bit early in the morning to engage in sort of insults. The very nature of your question demonstrates your deep held prejudice against Liz Truss and the new Conservative party and I'm very sorry about that."
Richard was taken aback in disbelief as he said: "You're joking?" The MP continued the interview on as he defended the PM.
A little while later, Richard said: "I'm not going to waste too much time defending myself because I don't care, I'm used to being attacked, but I can assure you that what I said about Liz Truss was a journalistic statement."
The MP continued, as Susanna tried to ask another question. But he hit back at her "interrupting" him, as he said: "I don't understand how we can both speak at the same time as that's very difficult on a programme so please don't keep interrupting me and I won't interrupt you."
Susanna remained quiet for a while, as she smirked. Meanwhile, fans on Twitter begged for the car crash interview to stop.
One user said: "Wow! What an ‘interview’!! #GMB". A second added: "This is a car crash of an interview. How deluded can one be? #GMB".
Charlotte said: "Make it stop. This guy is on a different planet. Definitely a Tory, can’t give a straight answer either #GMB". Another user said: "Oh dear a #tory hissy fit #gmb."
